Since moving to Provo in 2014, I’ve always had trouble finding the best place to source local consumables, like household products and pantry staples.  Coming from California, my experience was shaped by shopping in bulk at Costco for everything from toliet paper to quinoa.  Shopping on an Island however, is a bit different.  And it's always hot so you have to factor that into as well. :) 

I started by driving around the Island and documenting what stores sold what products, in what quantity, and at what price.  Then I would calculate the price per quantity and compare stores to find the best deal.  Yep, I even have spreadsheets.  

Once I thought I figured out, that store stopped selling that product or suddenly raised the price and I had to go through the process again.  There had to be an easier way.  There is an easier way.  It just hadn't been planned and developed for this Island, yet.  

Turks & Caicos .SHOP was imagined from those experiences and curated out of desire and necessity for effective life solutions.  Shopping for essential items is a part of life but it doesn't need to take up so much time.
